You Know It's A Winner When You Get All Three
We had a wonderful dinner tonight of hamburger steaks with mashed potatoes and green peas. Samuel quickly used three of his new words to describe his sentiments about the meal. "yuck" "no" "all done". We tried unsuccessfully not to laugh, and I'm trying not to take it personally.

That is funny. Laugh while you can because it does get hard to stay firm, but it is worth it. Jenna is past the picky stage and will pretty much try anything now. We are in the middle of it with Sophie, but have set up a new rule that everytime she complains we add another bite to her plate. Of course Samuel is too young for that, but it is working for Sophie. We'll be back in the Springs May 31st. We would love to come and see you all sometime this summer.
As he gets older you'll probably experience how his tastes change...things he once loved he now hates, and things he once hated he now loves. Allow for the tastes to change, as long as he is eating a variety of things! And don't expect him to like/love everything. Even adults have their likes and dislikes. But that doesn't mean you have to fix him a different menu from the rest of the family!
