Friends with Boys - Opinions Please!!

So, Samuel is turning two a week from today. Wow!! We have been brainstorming about what kind of gifts he would truly enjoy. He's getting wood blocks from Mojo and Papaw, which will definitely be a hit, and we will enjoy playing with them too :O) But, I have no idea what else he might like and be able to enjoy for at least months, if not years, to come. Any ideas?

I think he would love one of those little tool benches that you hammer he pegs down. Susannah has one with balls that is some fancy brand that someone gave her. This is a hard age to keep busy.
Jenna and Sophie loved a water table on the patio to play in. But it will be getting too cold for that. The main toy he loves is you!
... he already has one of those.

For Evan, it's all about cars, cars, cars.. and that started around 2 yrs old. The nice thing is hot wheels aren't expensive.

But another toy that I think is great for most of the preschool years is the Melissa and Doug Wooden Car Ramp (search for it on Amazon, it's the one with red, yellow and blue ramps) Hot wheels work well on it.

And I also like Melissa and Doug's Latches board puzzle.

Hope that helps!

If you don't have a problem with little parts going in his mouth...or maybe for next year, we love these cars for our boys, a little natural and fun to change **my boys haven't figured out the wheels change or else I would still be nervous about choking. We want to start the boys a collection...and maybe it could be special cars that he plays when Daddy can play! http://www.automoblox.com/

I also LOVE Melissa and Doug...really anything Melissa and Doug! http://www.melissaanddoug.com/
